Saregama Bhakti offer you bhajans, discourses, teachings from our scriptures and lots more. This app also provides you with a free daily Panchang and Pooja Mahurats to help you prepare for auspicious occasions.

SIGN UP AND REGISTRATION

Is sign in mandatory to access the app?

Sign In is mandatory when you want to play a song, add a song to playlist, mark a song as Favourite or offline a song. Sign in is not required to just view the content.


What are the different modes of sign in?

You can sign in via Facebook, G+, email ID or mobile no.


I have entered a valid email ID, but I am unable to sign in. Why?

When you enter your email ID, you will receive a verification link from Saregama Bhakti on the entered email ID. To access the app, you will need to click on the verification link. When you click on this link, you will be redirected to the app and auto logged in. You don't require any pin/ password to enter the app.

Remember, the email you receive will be from 'Account Kit'. If you are unable to locate this email in your inbox, go back to the app and tap 'RESEND EMAIL'. If you wish to go back to your pre signed in state, please kill the app and re-launch it.


I have logged in using my mobile no. on an Android device. Can I use the same mobile no. to sign in to my iOS device?

You can use the same mobile no. that you have used on an Android device to sign in to the app on an iOS device. To sign in using the same mobile no. on your iOS device follow the steps listed below:

a. Go to the main menu of the app and tap 'Sign in'

b. Click on Sign in via mobile no.

c. Enter the mobile no.

d. Enter the OTP sent to the mobile no.

e. Enjoy using Saregama Bhakti


I initially signed in to Saregama Bhakti using my Facebook account. I want to now sign in using my email ID. Will I be able to do this?

To sign in to the app using email ID, follow the steps listed below:

a. Go to the main menu of the app and tap 'Sign in'

b. Click on Sign in via Email ID.

c. Enter the Email ID.

d. Go to the email ID and find the email sent by 'Account Kit'

e. Click on the verification link in this email.

f. You will be redirected to the app and logged in

To ensure continuity of subscription, offlined content etc., please ensure that you use the same Email ID that was used to sign in on Facebook.


I was signed in to the app using my email ID. I was forced to update the app. What happens when I upgrade the app?

If you were signed in before upgrading the app, you will continue to be signed even after you upgrade the app.


I upgraded app and I am unable to view any My Favourites, My Offlined etc. Why?

You were probably not signed in to the app when you upgraded it. Follow the steps below to sign in and view your My Favourites, My Offlined etc.:

a. Go to the main menu of the app and tap 'sign in'

b. Choose to sign in via email ID

c. Enter the email ID with which you had signed in earlier

d. Go to your email account and find the email by Account Kit

e. Click on the verification link

f. You will be redirected to the app and auto signed in

What type of content is showcased under Shloka of the Day?

'Shloka of the day' presents you with a new Shloka, idea or shloka (with translation) to help you kick start the day on a positive note. You can also save the Shloka of the day 'as a wallpaper' or share with friends and family via whatsapp, facebook etc.


What type of content is showcased under Ganeshaspeaks Panchang, Mahurat and Astrology?

Ganeshaspeaks Panchang, Mahurat and Astrology showcases your daily horoscope basis your star sign, a daily panchang and a special panchang for festivals like Diwali, Karwa Chauth, Holi and many more.


What type of content is showcased under Pooja?

Pooja section is a destination for all rituals, vidhi related to pooja performed during a festival/ vrat.

Pooja section displays content in text, audio and video format

You can watch videos to understand mythology and pooja vidhi performed during a pooja and also listen to bhajans, aartis of that festival This section also helps you with the mahurat of the festival/ vrat


What is the 'offline' feature?

The offline feature allows you to save bhajans, stotrams, discourses, mantras, aartis, scriptures and videos within the app itself. You can listen to all the offlined content even without the internet and save internet costs. Sign in to the app is mandatory to offline a song/ video. To offline a song or video, tap on the 3 dots on the right hand side of your screen and tap 'Offline'. To access the list of all the offlined content, go to the homepage on the app and select 'My Offlined'.


What is the difference between offline and download?

Download allows you to save the content from an app directly to the native library of your phone or tablet. Once downloaded, this content can be accessed even if the original app is deleted from the phone.

Offline allows you to save the content within the app itself. In this case, if the original app is deleted, all saved content will also be deleted.

However, both downloaded and offlined content can be accessed without the internet.


Can I access all features of the app irrespective of whether I have the internet or not?

When you are connected to the internet, you can access the entire app, stream and offline audio and video based bhajans and other content. You can also use other features like favourite, share, playlists etc. If you are not connected to the internet, you can only listen to or watch content that you have already offlined. To access the list of all the content, go to the main menu on the app and select 'My Offlined'.


There is a list of bhajans, I can see under Ganesha radio. What are they?

Ganesha radio plays out only specially curated list of bhajans every day. The entire library of bhajans is available on demand, under the radio for you to stream or offline.


I heard a song under 'Recommendations' yesterday, but can't find it today. Why?

We constantly refresh content on the Recommendation's section so that you always have something new to listen to. We may have refreshed the songs and hence it isn't available when you try to find it again.


I heard a bhajan under 'What's new' yesterday, but can't find it today. Why?

The idea of 'What's new' section is to provide you with quick links to the new content added on the app. As we keep adding new content, the content previously listed in this section will be removed. However, this does not mean, that the content is removed from the app. If you remember the name of the song that you enjoyed, simply go to search and look for it. You can then mark this song as a favourite or offline it for easy access in the future.


I enjoyed the Shloka under 'Thought of the Day' yesterday, but can't find it today. Why?

'Thought of the day' gives you a new thought each day. Hence, the shloka that you heard yesterday is not available today.


Does the offlined content belong to me forever?

You will be able to access offlined bhajans, stotrams, discourses, mantras, aartis, scriptures or videos within the app..


Can I offline the bhajans from the in-app radio?

Our in-app radio feature doesn't allow you to offline bhajans..


Can I offline a video from the in-app TV?

Our in-app TV feature doesn't allow you to offline videos.


I wish to delete the offlined content within the app. What should I do?

To delete offlined content, go to the homepage of the app and select 'My Offlined'. Then tap on checkboxes of any/ all content you wish to delete and tap 'delete'.


How do I create a list of favourite content on the app?

To mark as favourite, go to the bhajan, stotram, discourse, mantra, aarti, scriptures or video of your choice; tap the 3 dots on the right hand side of your screen and tap the heart icon.

You can later access the list of all your favourite content from 'My Favourites' from the homepage of the app.


What is the 'playlist' feature?

The playlist feature allows you to create a customized playlist of all the bhajans, stotrams, discourses, mantras, aartis, scriptures and videos that you have liked on the app. To create an audio or video playlist, tap on the 3 dots on the right hand side of your screen, tap 'Add' and name your relevant playlist. To access the playlist, go to the 'My Playlist' tab under the main menu of the app.


A few songs under 'My Offlined' and 'My Favourites' tab displays '7 times'. What does this represent?

When you chose to offline the mantra, you would have been provided with an option to choose the number of repeats i.e. '7 times', '21 times' etc. in this case, you have probably chosen to offline '7 times' repeat of the mantra


Can I offline the same mantra multiple times with different number of repeats?

Yes. You can offline the same mantra multiple times with different number of repeats. Each repeat will show as a separate listing under 'My Offlined'. You may choose to delete either version at any given point in time.


How do I bookmark a chapter of a scripture?

To bookmark a chapter, go to the player page of the scripture and tap on the bookmark icon. Alternatively, each time you tune out of the player page you would be presented with the option to bookmark the chapter.

To access bookmarks, go to the main menu on the app and select 'My Bookmarks'.


How do I save wallpapers from the app?

To save wallpaper from the app, go to the wallpaper section and tap on 'save image' or 'set wallpaper' on the image of your choice.


In which languages is Saregama Bhakti available?

While the content i.e. bhajans, stotrams, aartis, mantras etc. are in Hindi or Sanskrit, the app can be browsed in either English or Hindi.

The default language for browsing the app is English.

To change the default language, go to Settings under the main menu on the app and tap Hindi

What is 'Share'?

The 'share' feature allows you to share a link of a particular bhajan, discourse, mantra, aarti, chapter or video with your friends, family etc. via Whatsapp, Facebook, text message, email etc.


I liked a bhajan on the app. Can I share the file with my friends?

You can only share the link of a particular bhajan, discourse, mantra, aarti, chapter or video file with your friends.

· If the app is installed on your friend's device, clicking the link will start the playout of the bhajan

· If the app is not installed on your friend's device, he/she would be redirected to Google Play store/ Apple App store to download the app

 

LINKING/DELINKING A DEVICE

What is linking of devices?

You can use the same login ID and enjoy Saregama Bhakti on a total of 2 devices. To link, download the app on your second device and use the same sign in credentials as on the first device.


I am trying to link a 3rd device to my Saregama Bhakti account, but I am unable to do so. Why?

You can link up to a maximum of 2 devices under one login ID. To link the 3rd device, you will have to delink any one of the already linked devices.


I tried to sign in on a device using my Saregama Bhakti sign in credentials. I am presented with a 'maximum limit exceeded' message. What does this mean?

You can link and enjoy Saregama Bhakti on upto two different devices using the same login ID.

The 'maximum limit exceeded' message indicates that you have already used the same login credentials to sign in to Saregama Bhakti on 2 other devices.

To access Saregama Bhakti on a 3rd device, delink any one of the previously linked devices.

To delink a device, choose either of the options below:

Option 1

a. Go to any of the previously linked devices

b. Ensure that you are logged in to Saregama Bhakti

c. Go to 'My Accounts' under the main menu of the app

d. Tap on linked devices

e. Tap 'Delink' next to any of the linked devices

f. Your device will be delinked successfully

Option 2

a. Sign in to a 3rd device

b. Post sign in, you will be presented with a 'Maximum limit exceeded' message

        a. Choose to delink a device from this message

c. You will be presented with a list of linked devices

d. Tap on 'Delink' next to any of the linked devices

e. Your device will be delinked successfully
