| Biography |
Vani Jayaram a veteran playback singer for Indian cinema born the fifth daughter in a family of six daughters and three sons was considered a child prodigy. She was trained in Carnatic music by Kadalur Srinivasa Iyengar T. R. Balasubramanian and R. S. Mani. Later she was taught Hindustani light classical music by Ustad Abdul Rahman Khan.
